Niamh is an Irish born artist working in Kildare. She is a graduate of BCFE with a HND in Classical and Computer Animation and has an Honours Degree in History of Art and Drama and Theatre Studies from Trinity College. She also has a HDip with Distinction, in Irish & World Folk Music from BCFE. She launched her Solo Exhibition with 22, twenty two paintings in McAuley Place in Naas, for 3 weeks, from 21st of February until 12th of March 2024. She exhibited a photographic art work in the Kanturk Arts festival 2023 entitled “Bee Inspired in Lavender Land”. This was an open air exhibition on a walking trail which took place in July & August 31st 2023. Her photo “Bee Inspired in Lavender Land” was published on page 148 in the festival’s Book “Along the Path” (Poets’ Trees 2003.) She exhibited seven paintings in Inspire 2022 End of Year Digital Exhibition online . She exhibited in “The Birr Vintage Week and Arts Festival 2022”. Previously, she exhibited two paintings in “The Year of Magical Thinking” in 2020, a virtual exhibition at the Dunamaise Arts Centre during Covid. Married in 2017 by the sea, she is inspired by Nature, People and Animals. Niamh is also a Singer, Soprano, Actor, Director, Songwriter and loves Yoga, Sea Swimming and Dancing Argentinian Tango. She Produced her Debut Album “HeartSong of The Phoenix”with 13 original songs. Hotpress magazine likened her vocal gymnastics as being like that of Kate Bush. She Produced her Second Album “Mad Sea Folk” with 16 songs which also includes covers of songs by Jack Lukeman & Nick Drake along with some folk songs in Irish and English. She sings on 11 albums in total, some with ANÚNA, with The National Chamber Choir, with the Harp Orchestra & Janet Harbison, with Enda Reilly, with Joe Black & Various other recording artists. Visual development and Concept Design are her areas of interest. She specializes in Bespoke Portraits (People and Animals) for Special Occasions and Loved ones.
